Building Regulations Principal Designer Advisor

The introduction of the Building Safety Act 2022 and updated legislation has created another duty holder as set out in the Amended Building Regulations Part 2A; the BR Principal Designer.

The BR PD cannot be a third-party, so we are collaborating with Architects and Principal Contractors who are voluntarily (or involuntarily) taking on the role, to assist them as BR PD Advisor. Essentially we are carrying out most of the duties on their behalf; the regulations prefer that the BR PD be the Lead Designer.

This service is proving to be very popular, with architects in particular utilising Slade Property Gorup as both CDM PD and BR PD Advisor on multiple projects.
